Returns Policy

This policy explains when goods can be returned, and what we do if something arrives faulty. It sits alongside our Terms and Conditions.

Faulty, damaged or not as described

Tell us within [CONFIRM: suggested 3] working days of delivery if a consignment arrives damaged or short, and keep the packaging, as carriers require it for a claim. If goods are faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund. A consumer has a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Return carriage on faulty goods is at our cost.

Cancelling a consumer order

If you are buying as a consumer at a distance, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 normally give you 14 days from receipt to cancel for any reason. To cancel, write to marketing@sacredin.com before that period ends. Refunds are made within 14 days of our receiving the goods back, to the original payment method.

Where the cancellation right does not apply

Most of our range is made to order, and goods made to your specification or clearly personalised are excluded from the 14-day cancellation right by regulation 28 of those Regulations. That covers bespoke sizes, engraving, a parish coat of arms and any non-standard finish. It does not affect your rights if the goods turn out to be faulty or not as described. If you are unsure whether a particular piece is treated as made to order, ask before you order and we will confirm in writing.

Business orders

Orders placed by a parish, diocese, school or other organisation are business orders, and the statutory consumer cancellation right does not apply to them. Returns of unused stock items by agreement are at our discretion and may carry a restocking charge of [CONFIRM: suggested 15%].

Condition of returned goods

Returned goods must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a condition that lets us resell them. Sacred vessels that have been consecrated or put into liturgical use cannot be returned.

How to return

Write to marketing@sacredin.com or call +44 7799 721520 before sending anything back, and we will give you a return address and reference. Goods sent back without one may not be traceable to your order.
